How It Started
The Problem Was Always the Opportunity
Across West Africa, two crises run side by side. Mountains of agricultural residues pile up with nowhere to go — a burden on land, water, and the communities that depend on both. And at the same time, feed costs swallow 60 to 70% of every livestock farmer's income, squeezing livelihoods to the point where farming barely makes sense.
SheFarms was founded on the conviction that these are not two problems. They are one opportunity.
That conviction drove deep research, a rigorous partnership with KNUST, and the development of LoopFeed™ — a circular feed system that turns what the land discards into what farmers need most. We are now working with 400 farmers in Lagos, measuring every result, and building the roadmap that takes this across West Africa.
"Circular systems provide oxygen to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of a society. They transform what was once discarded into the fuel for innovation, prosperity, and regeneration."— Tiambi Simms, Co-Founder
